Lahore; Two burqa-clad women arrested for snatching earrings

Police have arrested two burqa-clad women from Ittefaq Matriculation Station In Lahore.

Lahore Police said that SHO Model Town Shafqat Sarwar has arrested the female accused from Ittefaq Matriculation Station.

SP Model Town Shahrbanu Naqvi said that the female accused snatched the earrings from the woman’s ears and fled from the metro bus.

She said that one accused can be seen fleeing in the CCTV footage, and both women have been arrested after the victim pointed them out.

Shahrbanu Naqvi said that the burqa-clad women accused used to steal earrings, cash and mobile phones from women riding in the metro bus. The earrings and the snatched cash have been recovered from the arrested women and a case has been registered against them.
