Trump angry over Saudi Crown Prince's refusal to restore ties with Israel

A report in Israeli media claims that US President Donald Trump has expressed his displeasure and disappointment over the negotiations with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman regarding the Abraham Accords.

According to the Times of Israel, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman did not immediately show his willingness to normalize relations with Israel during his visit to Washington, contrary to President Trump's wishes.

Due to which US President Donald Trump, who was very optimistic about the Abraham Accords, has become very disappointed and very angry.

The issue of Saudi Arabia's restoration of diplomatic relations with Israel through the Abraham Accords was the main topic of discussion between the two leaders at the White House last week.

According to an Israeli media report, the US President urged Mohammed bin Salman during the meeting to immediately move forward with the process of restoring relations with Israel.

According to Israeli media, in response, the Saudi crown prince made it clear that he was not opposed to this process in principle, but that this decision was not possible at the moment due to anti-Israeli public sentiment in Saudi Arabia after the Gaza war.

According to US officials, although the conversation remained within the realm of courtesy, President Trump seemed annoyed with the crown prince's stance at the time.

A senior US official told Israeli media that Mohammed bin Salman did not say in the meeting that he would never establish normal relations, but he made a two-state solution a basic condition.

US officials further said that after the end of Iran's nuclear program and the end of the war in Gaza, President Trump wants all Middle Eastern countries to join the Abraham Accords and advance the regional peace process.

On the other hand, the Israeli government has refused to accept the condition of the establishment of a Palestinian state.

Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu said in an interview last week that a Palestinian state would not be established, even if it did not result in the restoration of relations with Saudi Arabia.

The Saudi embassy has not yet responded to the Israeli media report, while the White House reiterated Trump's desire that all countries in the region join the Abraham Accords.
