China opposes the use of force in international relations, China's response to US threats to Iran
China's important statement on the deaths in the ongoing protests in Iran and the US threat of military action in Iran has come to light.
According to the World News Agency, the spokesperson for the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a media briefing that China opposes the use of force in international relations and considers respect for the sovereignty, security and territorial integrity of all countries indispensable.
The spokesperson said that China hopes that the government and people of Iran will overcome the current difficult situation and that stability and order will be maintained in the country.
The Chinese spokesperson also emphasized that any dispute should be resolved not through military force, but through bilateral negotiations and political process.
It should be remembered that President Trump warned reporters on the presidential plane on his way from Florida to Washington, DC that action against Iran may have to be taken before negotiations.
US President Donald Trump has taken a tough stance on Iran, saying that although Iran wants to negotiate and arrangements are being made for a meeting, the US has very powerful options, including military action.
He said that the US is keeping a close eye on the deaths of civilians in the ongoing protests in Iran. The US military is closely monitoring the issue and is also in contact with Iranian opposition leaders.
The US president also revealed that he will contact the heads of technology companies to help restore internet service in Iran.
President Trump also said that he will also talk to Elon Musk in this regard to enable access to information for the Iranian people.
In response to President Trump's threats, Iran's Foreign Minister responded by saying that Iran is ready for both war and negotiations.
He further said that Iran will not make any decision under pressure or threats and will defend its national interests at all costs.
