Iran Warns of Attacks on US Military Bases in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, UAE Amid Rising Tensions
Iran has responded to Trump's threat that if we are attacked, we will target US military bases and installations in the Middle East.
According to the International News Agency, this response from Iran came after President Trump, while addressing Iranian protesters, said that help is the only way, take over constitutional institutions.
Iranian officials not only responded to the United States but also informed Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey and other Middle Eastern countries that if the United States attacks, US military bases and installations in these countries will also be considered enemies.
Iranian officials have requested these Middle Eastern countries to activate local intelligence and keep security agencies alert so that the United States does not use these military bases to attack Iran.
After this statement, diplomatic sources told Reuters that the United States has instructed some military officers to return from its largest military base in Qatar.
A statement issued by Qatar's International Media Office said that the temporary transfer of some personnel from Al-Udeid Air Base was made in response to the current regional tensions.
The statement added that the Qatari government continues to take all necessary measures to ensure the safety and security of its citizens and residents.
The Qatari government says that practical measures are also being taken to protect the country's important installations and military centers.
It should be noted that Al-Udeid Air Base is the largest US military base in the Middle East, where 10,000 American troops are stationed.
