Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's land is tight for terrorists, 24 more Khawarjis killed in security forces operations

According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), two major and successful counter-terrorism operations were carried out in Bajaur and Bannu on November 16 and 17 based on intelligence inputs.

In these operations, 23 Khawarji terrorists belonging to the Indian proxy Fitna-ul-Kharij were killed.

According to the statement, security forces took timely action on intelligence inputs in Bajaur and targeted the hideout of the terrorists, as a result of which 11 Khawarij including the main ringleader Sajjad alias Abuzar were killed.

Another similar operation was carried out in Bannu, in which the security forces neutralized 12 more Khawarij under an effective strategy.

According to a statement issued by the ISPR, a sanitization operation is underway in the said area so that any Indian-sponsored terrorist elements can also be eliminated.

The ISPR said that the ongoing nationwide counter-terrorism campaign under the “Determination of Stability” is continuing with full force and the security forces and law enforcement agencies are determined to completely eliminate foreign-sponsored terrorism from the country.

In addition, the security forces foiled a major terrorist attack in Bannu, killing an operative of the pro-India Fitna al-Kharijite group while planting a landmine.

Earlier, on November 15 and 16, security forces killed 15 terrorists of the Fitna-ul-Khawarij in two districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The first operation was carried out in the Kalachi area of Dera Ismail Khan district, in which 10 Khawarij were killed in crossfire. The group’s top commander Alam Mehsud was among the dead.

The second operation was carried out in the Datakhel area of North Waziristan, in which security forces killed 5 more terrorists.

President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, the Interior Minister and others have praised the security forces for their successful operations.

President Asif Ali Zardari paid tribute to the security forces for their successful operations in Bajaur and Bannu and said that killing 23 terrorists of the Fitna-ul-Khawarij, who were active with Indian support, is an effective strategy of the security forces.

He said that the killing of several terrorists, including the Khawarij leader, in Bajaur is a clear message to the elements hostile to peace. President Zardari praised the professionalism of the soldiers after the killing of twelve Khawarij in another operation in Bannu.

The President said that the timely actions of the security forces are a reflection of the state’s determination to establish peace in the country, and there is no room for foreign-backed terrorism on the soil of Pakistan.

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif paid tribute to the security forces for two different successful operations against the terrorists of Fitnat-ul-Khawarij in Bajaur district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Bannu.

The Prime Minister praised the security forces for killing 23 terrorists of Fitnat-ul-Khawarij in the operations and said that under the vision of determination, the security forces are achieving great successes against terrorism.

He said that the entire nation stands with the Pakistani forces in this war against terrorism and is determined to completely eradicate all forms of terrorism from the country.
