Terrorists are provided with a favorable political environment in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, DG ISPR

Pakistan Army Public Relations (ISPR) Director General (DG) Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry has said that 80 percent of terrorism incidents took place in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the reason for this is that terrorists are provided with a favorable political environment there and political and terrorist nexus is developing there.

DG ISPR expressed his views on the security situation and other important issues in his important press conference.

He said that the purpose of the news conference is to cover the measures against terrorism, the war against terrorism is the war of the entire nation, there is harmony between the state and the people in the war against terrorism.

He said that the purpose of the briefing is to present a comprehensive review of the steps taken in the last year regarding counter-terrorism, this is the sole purpose of this press conference, and I would request that we focus on counter-terrorism because terrorism is the biggest threat that the state of Pakistan is currently facing.

The DG ISPR said that 2025 was a historic and fruitful year in our war against terrorism, saying that the war against terrorism belongs to the entire nation and has been fought for more than two decades.

The DG ISPR added that the last year saw unprecedented intensity in counter-terrorism efforts, while there were 27 suicide attacks in the country last year.

He said that India was blackened in the war of truth, it was necessary to teach it a lesson, the stain of India’s Operation Sindoor is still not going away from its mouth.

He said that Afghanistan organized the TTP on its own, 80 percent of the terrorist incidents took place in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the reason for this is that a favorable political environment is provided to terrorists there and political and terrorist nexus is developing there.

He said that last year, law enforcement agencies conducted 75,175 intelligence-based operations, 14,658 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 58,778 operations were conducted in Balochistan, 1,739 operations were conducted in other parts of the country last year.

Last year, 27 suicide attacks took place, 80 percent of terrorist attacks took place in KP, KP provides a politically favorable political environment for terrorism.

DG ISPR said that the war against terrorism has been going on for more than 2 decades, terrorists are Khawarij and Fitna-ul-Hindustan, terrorists have no connection with Islam, Afghanistan has become the center of terrorism in the region.

He said that last year, 14,658 operations were carried out in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the army, police and institutions conducted 75,175 intelligence-based operations, 58,778 intelligence-based operations were conducted in Balochistan, and 5,397 incidents of terrorism occurred.

According to the DG ISPR, 2,597 terrorists were killed, 1,235 of us were martyred in the war against terrorism, 27 suicide attacks took place last year, suicide attacks took place in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan and Islamabad, 16 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and 10 in Balochistan.

He said that there was an attack in the Islamabad Judicial Complex, 3,811 incidents of terrorism occurred in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, terrorism incidents increased in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa from 2021 to 2025, the state is determined to eliminate terrorism.

He said that the state has a clear stance against Fitna-ul-Hindustan, 193 terrorists were killed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during 2021, last year was historic and fruitful against terrorism, in the Doha Agreement in 2021, the Taliban held talks with the US, Afghan soil will not be used for terrorism.

The DG ISPR said that in the Doha Agreement, it was said that women will get rights in Afghanistan, have the promises of the Doha Agreement been fulfilled after 2021? Various terrorist organizations are carrying out operations from Afghanistan.

The spokesperson of the Pakistani army said that Afghanistan is a haven for terrorists from all over the world, they call themselves the interim Afghan government but there is no government there, Al-Qaeda, ISIS, BLA are present in Afghanistan, Fitna-ul-Hindustan and TTP training camps are present in Afghanistan.

Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif said that recently an executive order was brought in Syria, 2,500 terrorists from Syria moved to Afghanistan, there are no Pakistanis among the terrorists who moved to Afghanistan from Syria, DG Afghan border closure has significantly reduced terrorism.

Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif said that Afghanistan has organized the TTP according to its own methods, a fake narrative is being made that America has been driven out of Afghanistan, Afghanistan presents itself as the champion of Islam, Afghanistan is directly supporting terrorists, Afghanistan is conducting a war economy.

He said that the entire nation and security forces are making sacrifices in the war against terrorism and the government of a province says that we will not allow operations there, so do these people want to create an environment of terrorism again, just as these terrorists martyred thousands of people in Swat?

He said that this time the narrative of such people has also come out in the open, these people have the same old political narrative, if someone asks them two to three questions, they do not have any answers, they want to become the approved view of the fitna al-Kharij.
